Ferroalloy Refining Process

This process was invented by R. Perrin in 1938, who is a French scientist, and later, this method was named as Perrin process. It is mostly used for the production of extra-low-carbon ferrochrome. In essence, this process is a silicothermic process, the difference is that the desiliconization reaction takes place outside the furnace.
